Happy New Year! A Break From Our Usual Programming

Happy New Year everyone!

I know it's already nearing the end of January and I've been M.I.A. since the beginning of last month D: The holidays and the job had physically and mentally tired me out and I just didn't feel like dancing. But here's to the new year and a fresh new start!

At the last minute I Love Dance added EXO's Wolf to their Manhattan schedule, and even though I'm still not sure how I feel about that dance, I still have it on my list, and I had the money, so I've joined the class! I'll talk more about that in the next few posts.

I went to see UKISS in concert in NYC on the 9th and it was one of the best nights of my life! It was mine and L's first KPOP concert. We finally broke the curse! Seriously, both of us have missed everyone else that has come through here. But we broke our curse, saw UKISS, and feel good about the future in regards to more concerts.

I already liked UKISS a lot before, but I didn't know many of their songs. I was mostly into the members, mainly because of Eat Your Kimchi's many interviews with them. But their songs are really great and I have no idea why I've never heard much of their stuff beforehand. Now I've been listening to them a lot, today especially, and I think that they are seriously underrated. They need more love~ So with that, expect to see more of their songs on either of my lists! Man Man Ha Ni and 0330 have already made it.

In addition to feeling good about this year in terms of more concerts, I just feel good about this year in general. I still haven't found a nursing job, but I am staying hopeful that this year will be my year. I am also feeling good about dance. I managed to get into another I Love Dance class, and I hope to continue to go to more classes. It definitely can get tiring, but I really enjoy going into the city every week to dance. Even though it's just for fun, I get to dance in NYC. That's such a great feeling. Also the receptionist at my new chiropractor was telling me that her niece is a dancer and had taken over the studio she grew up attending, along with all of her dance friends. They provide a non-competitive environment, which is definitely what I'm looking for, seeing as I never competed growing up. From what I told the receptionist about what I'm looking for, she thinks her niece's studio is exactly that. She gave me her name and number, but I haven't called yet. I'm extremely nervous! I'm also worried about money. I want to start ASAP! But I don't know what I can afford. But I won't know any of that until I actually make the call. I go back to the doctor tomorrow, so if she's there maybe she can give me some confidence!

So here's to a new year and a new start! Keep dancing!
